The town of Tiko, gateway city into the Fako Division of the South West Region of Cameroon is once again in the headline of news making events and this time again, it is news that leaves no one around with much to be happy about.
Barely few days after a young lady was arrested in connection with suspected murder of her months old baby, news of the rape of a three year old girl around the premises of a church is animating the town.
Sources on ground say, the little child had gone to church together with her family and felt uneasy during service.
While easing herself around the church building, the little child whose identity is being withheld was intercepted by an individual of the church later identified as Global Prophetic Ministry.
The unfortunate incident which occurred at the start of the week led to the arrest of Brandon, an Instrumentalist of the Church. The boy who is yet to officially confess to the crime has spent at least 24hrs in detention as investigations are underway.
In the meantime, unofficial sources say the pastor of the church has claimed that the boy penetrated the child with his fingers as against medical reports which revealed that the young girl was sexually molested with the manhood.
He has equally called on the family of the child to temper justice with mercy.
