3 drivers are currently responding to medical attention in hospital facilities towards Buea after a head-on collision which occurred this Monday March 6 2023.The accident which happened earlier today around Synod Office, an area along the stretch of road linking the Central Police roundabout and Buea Town was caused by overspeeding and wrongful overtaking.The mayor of Buea, Barisster David Mafany Namange immediately rushed to the scene as circulation along the road was stopped for at least two hours. The mayor, accompanied by law enforcement officers seized the opportunity to caution drivers plying the road to drive with caution and vigilance.
The three vehicles which were involved in the accident were cleared off the accident scene and circulation was restored and This is one of the numerous accidents recorded especially on Mondays around Buea. The main reason for these numerous accidents has been blamed on the six year anglophone crisis with the civil disobedience of ghost towns observed every Monday which makes roads to be free.
