At least four vehicles have been burnt down in the Mile 16 Bolimfamba neighborhood in Buea during the early hours of monday april 10 2023.
It is not known exactly who set the vehicles ablaze and for what reasons but it is widely believed by denizens of the area that the attack is in line with the mode of operation separatist fighters use as means to strike fear into the minds of the people inorder to reinforce ghost towns on Mondays.
Amongst the vehicles that were burnt down to ashes are three taxis and a private car. Sources add that, an individual was shot in the incident and was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately gave up the ghost. Though calm is confirmed to have returned to the neighborhood, it is believed to be insecure as streets have remained deserted while the entire locality has been heavily militarized.
