An accident that occurred in the Mokunda locality in Limbe has left three persons dead. The accident which occurred in the late hours of Wednesday April 12 2023 involved a heavy-duty truck which suffered a mechanical problem and went out of control.
The heavy-duty truck rolled backwards and off the tarmac crushing a woman and her two kids who were selling by the road side.
The unfortunate woman whose two kids had come to give her a helping hand in her petty business did not react quick enough to get out of the way and were crushed to death by the truck. Their lifeless remains were retrieved from beneath the truck and conveyed to the Limbe regional hospital mortuary.
Yesterday’s sad incident has gone down as another episode of persons who have lost their lives in accident involving heavy-duty trucks.
